  • USDA Makes Move to Grants.gov: USDA recently announced that a large majority of their grant programs, including the National Research Initiative (NRI), will require electronic submission via Grants.gov.  Read more. (posted 11-16-2006)
  • NIH to Spread Application Due Dates Starting in January: NIH recently announced that the agency would begin "spreading out" application receipt dates beginning in January 2007. Major receipt dates will be moved from the first of the month to avoid days of highest Grants.gov volume.  Read more(posted 10-13-2006)
  • CDC makes move to Grants.govThe Centers for Disease Control have announced their intent to use Grants.gov for receipt of their grant applications as well as their intent to stop publishing opportunity announcements in the Federal Register.  Read more. (posted 10-13-2006)
  • Grants.gov Announces Major Changes, Deployment of New System Next YearGrants.gov recently announced that a new contract was awarded to Anteon Corporation that will pick up the work of developing a a platform-independent system. They expect to deploy the new system by April 1, 2007.  Read more.  (posted 10-12-2006)
  • Grants.gov Downtime Announced The Grants.gov Program Management Office has announced that Grants.gov will be off-line from October 14, 8:00am (Eastern time) until October 16, 6:00am (Eastern time) to accommodate a phased-in transition to a new production system.   • ONR Will use the Grants.gov formsThe Office of Naval Research (ONR) has announced that it will use the Grants.gov Standard Form 424 Research and Related (SF 424 R&R) electronic application package without add-ons. (posted 6/27/2006)
  • CDMRP Moving Program Announcements to Grants.gov Representatives from the U.S. Army Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) announced that they are moving their program announcements to Grants.gov and will have functionality with Grants.gov with announcements posted after June 16, 2006.  the CDMRP continues to use its eReceipt for submissions and collecting the just-in-time award documentation.   • NASA Update:  NASA web-based NSPIRES electronic application package will be used by all NASA Centers by October 1, 2006.  Applicants can use Grants.gov as a portal. (posted 6/27/2006)
  • ARO Will Accept Applications via Grants.gov:   The Army Research Office has announced that it will accept all applications through Grants.gov, although use of Grants.gov is optional, not mandatory.  Link:  http://www.grants.gov/search/basic.do, and search for ARO in the "Keyword" selection.  (posted 6/21/2006)
